Tax Accountant

We are growing and Australia Post needs a Tax Accountant who can hit the ground running. You will be working with a team that has been together for years and is genuinely good at what they do.

About the role

This is a contract/temp position based in Canberra, ACT. You will report to the team lead and work alongside a group of people who take pride in doing the basics well.

What you’ll be doing

• Report on progress and outcomes to the relevant manager
• Contribute to continuous improvement — we act on good ideas quickly
• Keep records accurate and up to date in our systems
• Deliver day-to-day work to a consistently high standard, with clear handover notes
• Work with your team lead to plan the week and flag risks early

What we’re looking for

• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Australian working rights
• Comfort working in a small, fast-moving team
• A positive, safety-first attitude
• Relevant experience in a similar role, or demonstrated equivalent capability

What you’ll get

• A salary in the range of $125,000 – $156,000 per year
