General Manager - Operations

Australia Post is looking for a General Manager - Operations to join the team. This is a newly created role, and you will have real scope to shape how it works from the first month.

About the role

This is a full time position based in Brisbane, QLD. You will report to the team lead and work alongside a group of people who take pride in doing the basics well.

What you’ll be doing

• Report on progress and outcomes to the relevant manager
• Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Follow all safety, quality and compliance requirements relevant to the role
• Support onboarding and mentoring of new team members
• Deliver day-to-day work to a consistently high standard, with clear handover notes

What we’re looking for

• Relevant experience in a similar role, or demonstrated equivalent capability
• Australian working rights
• A current driver’s licence (preferred, not essential for all locations)
• A positive, safety-first attitude
• Comfort working in a small, fast-moving team

What you’ll get

• A salary in the range of $70,000 – $94,000 per year
