Learning & Development Specialist

We are growing and Optus needs a Learning & Development Specialist who can hit the ground running. You will be working with a team that has been together for years and is genuinely good at what they do.

About the role

This is a contract/temp position based in Canberra, ACT. You will report to the team lead and work alongside a group of people who take pride in doing the basics well.

What you’ll be doing

• Contribute to continuous improvement — we act on good ideas quickly
• Deliver day-to-day work to a consistently high standard, with clear handover notes
• Support onboarding and mentoring of new team members
• Work with your team lead to plan the week and flag risks early
• Report on progress and outcomes to the relevant manager

What we’re looking for

• A positive, safety-first attitude
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• A current driver’s licence (preferred, not essential for all locations)
• Australian working rights
• Attention to detail and a genuine sense of ownership

What you’ll get

• A salary in the range of $71,000 – $105,000 per year
