Tax Accountant

Woolworths Group is looking for a Tax Accountant to join the team. This is a newly created role, and you will have real scope to shape how it works from the first month.

About the role

This is a part time position based in Canberra, ACT. You will report to the team lead and work alongside a group of people who take pride in doing the basics well.

What you’ll be doing

• Support onboarding and mentoring of new team members
• Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Work with your team lead to plan the week and flag risks early
• Contribute to continuous improvement — we act on good ideas quickly
• Deliver day-to-day work to a consistently high standard, with clear handover notes

What we’re looking for

• Relevant qualification or trade certification where the role requires it
• Attention to detail and a genuine sense of ownership
• A current driver’s licence (preferred, not essential for all locations)
• Australian working rights
• Relevant experience in a similar role, or demonstrated equivalent capability

• A salary in the range of $80,000 – $96,000 per year
